Wedge is thicker in height and hugs up against the boot's heel so the studs make contact with the ground for stable walking. When not in use, these ice cleats easily rotate to the top or side of your boot or shoe to easily transition from outdoor to indoor work surfaces. 12 rugged, tungsten carbide studs are molded in for extra-firm grip on icy and snowy terrain. Tungsten carbide rates 9 on the Mohs scale for hardness so the spike is thinner, providing better penetration and sharper grip. Durable webbing with rubberized thread provides a secure fit and stability that stays in place for winter work or recreation. Lightweight ice cleats are small enough to store in a pocket or pack when not wearing. Woven, reflective accent on the straps delivers more visibility.
